YOGA punx apprentices
Nicolette Regina (she/her),
YT-200
Nicolette has been studying asana with Burning Spirits Yoga and Yoga Punx since 2017. She completed the heart of Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training, expanding her relationship with this ancient, spiritual practice with the intention to give back what has been so freely given to her. She currently studies the Ashtanga Primary series and nuances her discoveries in this practice in her Bhakti Flow Vinyasa. Pulling from her strengths from a life-time of theatre study and svadhyaya (self study), her classes offer an environment to play, create, connect, and remember to keep things simple while building tapas (heat) to connect mind, body, and spirit.

Ashley Low,(she/her) RYT-200
Ashley is a Buddhist Yogini-in-training who wants to share the tools she has been given that have helped heal and grow her mind, body and spirit. She has been practicing meditation with the Zen Community of Oregon since 2016, and yoga since 2015 with unfold studio where she was introduced to yoga and received a certificate in integrated movement therapy, and Burning Spirits yoga where she started practicing Ashtanga yoga in 2018 with Sandee Lawless and received her 200 hour teacher training certification in 2020 through the Heart of Vinyasa yoga school. Her classes encourage self-inquiry and experimentation as a way to reconnect with our bodies, and prioritize finding your foundation before flowing through a vinyasa. She currently teaches a Slow Flow class on Sunday nights and Restorative yoga class for BIPOC on Friday nights.

Shayla Fezette,(she/her) YT-200
Shayla began practicing yoga in 2016 mainly through Yin and Vinyasa styles, seeking a means of self-care while going through profound spiritual healing and needing relief from chronic physical pain & PTSD symptoms. She began diving deeper into the practice with BSY in 2019 and went on to complete the Heart of Vinyasa teacher training in 2020. From her experiences being a trauma survivor and in a larger body, she understands the need for creating a safe environment and plenty of opportunity to offer variations and prop use to adapt poses for each person’s individual needs. Drawing upon her former background in Opera singing, she’s found that connection to the divine can be experienced by incorporating voice & harmonium in her classes as a mode of healing the subtle bodies. She strives to empower others to trust their own voice and always follow the guidance of their hearts and wisdom of their bodies.
